Let's take a look together!
How many types of HRV states are there?
1. When your body achieves a good balance between stress and recovery, your HRV state is balanced - which means your body is good at handling stressful situations.
2. If you suddenly increase the amount of exercise, you may find that your HRV state is higher than the range of your personal baseline. This might seem like a good thing, but it actually means that your body is overworking to recover.
3. An HRV state that is lower than the range of your personal baseline could also be due to overtraining, but it may also be related to factors such as illness, poor sleep quality, high stress, changes in physical activity, unmet nutritional needs, or excessive alcohol consumption. Long-term bad habits will make it more difficult for your body to handle these things and stay healthy.
How to improve the HRV state?
After paying attention to HRV for a period of time, I believe you will be able to discover the relationship between your behaviors and the HRV state:
For example, if you add extra sets during a workout one day, you may notice that the average HRV state for that day is unbalanced. Trying to sleep 30 minutes more, eating healthier foods, doing some light exercise, and drinking water may all help to restore the balance of the HRV state.
Can one's HRV be compared with that of others?
No. Because everyone's heartbeats are different, the baseline range of others may be different from yours, and there is no unified "good or bad" standard for HRV.
What is normal for one person may not be for another. That's why a watch with HRV status needs time to build up an individual's personal information.
